In recent years extensive travels have led me to create works that do not require printing presses and other cumbersome equipment. It has taken years of trial and error to develop a method of working while on the road or exploring close to home. I gather materials: found objects, things purchased in the market, journal notes, photographs, sketches. Most constructing occurs when I return to my studio. There I have the tools and supplies needed. There I can reflect back, savor memories and delve into deeper meanings. What emerges is a many layered narrative presented in a three-dimensional way.
